Why we started
From Brian, the founder
I'm Brian Cusack. I started Dr. Mush Me because I couldn't find a mushroom extract that told me exactly what was in the bottle. Dean and I run it day to day: we pack the orders and answer the emails ourselves.
We make drops rather than capsules, so you can measure your amount by the drop and take it under your tongue or stir it into a drink.
Mushroom supplement labels are hard to compare. Some don't say which part of the mushroom is used, or whether it was grown on grain. For every product we publish the species, what it's made from, the amount per bottle, the daily amount on the label and the lab report. "Dr. Mush Me" is a brand name, not a medical title. Our drops are food supplements, not medicines.
How we make them
Plain ingredients, made carefully.
The right part of the mushroom
Lion's Mane and Reishi: the dried fruiting body. Chaga: the dried growth from birch trees. Cordyceps: cultivated Cordyceps sinensis.
Dual extract
The dried mushroom is extracted with ultrasonic-assisted extraction, using purified water and food-grade alcohol. Those are the only other ingredients.
No fillers
No grains and no excipients are added to the extract.

Every lab report, in full.
Our supplier's extracts were tested by J.S. Hamilton Poland, an independent lab, in May 2025 for heavy metals (lead, cadmium and mercury) and microbes. The results are on every product page, with the full report to download.
